Australian Bushrangers team announced

The junior and senior elite teams have been selected for the upcoming Oceania Championships to compete against the New Zealand Pinestars. The selection also includes M/W18, M/W20 and M/W21 team members for the ANZ Challenge, joining the other junior and masters athletes named earlier in the year. The team can be found at:

Congratulations to all selected athletes.

New junior appointments

OA is pleased to announce two new appointees to positions with the High Performance Program.
Brodie Nankervis from Tasmania has volunteered to be the squad coach for the Targetted Talented Athlete Squad. Brodie is a relatively young and very active elite orienteer himself but he puts a lot of time and thought into developing junior athletes, helping them to realise their potential. He has coordinated training camps among several states in the past and is furthering his coaching qualifications. The 2017 TTA squad will be selected after the Oceania Championships.
The second appointment is Jo Allison who has volunteered to join the national junior selection panel. Jo has been a long standing member of national teams from junior ranks through to last years WOC. She has vast experience as an elite athlete, knowing very well what it takes to get to the top of the sport.

NOL Round 1 Results

Thanks to Orienteering Tasmania for a very technical opening weekend to the National Orienteering League. After two events the senior men class is led by Matt Crane and Simon Upill, Natasha Key leads the senior women, Jarrah Day and Aston Key lead the junior men and Zoe Dowling the junior women.

The Canberra Cockatoos lead the senior men teams and jointly lead the senior women with the Victorian Nuggets, while the Tasmanian Foresters are winning both junior classes.
