The first four races of the 2018 National Orienteering League were held this weekend as part of the Melbourne Sprint Weekend.
Great British visitors running for Victoria, Peter Hodkinson and William Gardner, dominated the senior men competition while Belinda Lawford (ACT) is ahead of Krystal Neumann (QLD) and Natasha Key (VIC) in the senior women.
Aston Key (VIC) took over from where he left off last year, winning all three junior men races, but Asha Steer (VIC) has taken the early lead in the junior women over last year’s winner Tara Melhuish (ACT).
Race 3 was an exciting mixed relay won in the senior class by Victoria over the SA Arrows, and in the juniors the Cockatoos had a strong win over the SA Arrows.

Thanks to Orienteering Victoria for the massive effort of putting on six races across six venues and three days.
