Following on from decisive win in the W60 class in the Sprint Final, Jenny Bourne who qualified fastest from her two heats in the Long Qualification races was also the winner in the Final of the Long Distance event in W60. Her time was 38:52 for the 3.9km course. Jenny was 1:08 in front of second. Jenny had a remarkably consistent week of orienteering, finishing a close second in both qualification races and then maintaining this consistency to win her second final.

Other Australians to do well were Paul Pacque and Ted van Gedermalsen in M60 class. Paul had an improved performance in the final to finish in 7th place after qualifying in his heat in 10th place. Ted finished 10th in the final after qualifying in 4th place in his heat.
