The event will be contested over two days and is part of the World Cup and Oceania Championship Carnival. Teams of four athletes from each country will compete in four categories: Junior Girls, Junior Boys, Senior Girls and Senior Boys. The relay will be held on Wednesday 7 January at Kelvedon on Tasmania’s East Coast. Followed by the individual competition near picturesque Freycinet National Park on Thursday 8 January.

With Australian orienteers winning all the individual events in the recent Southern Cross Junior Challenge in Western Australia, Tara Melhuish (Junior Girls), Aston Key (Junior Boys), Anna Dowling (Senior Girls) and Matt Doyle (Senior Boys), we look forward to some great results for the team. Matt Doyle will be missed from the schools team, but we wish him all the best as he competes against the top elites from around the world in the World Cup competition.
